National Apprenticeship Week 2026 is here! This year, the Government’s national theme is skills for life, focusing on how apprenticeships support long term capability, confidence and career development.
Across the week, we will be sharing content that reflects this theme, celebrating how apprenticeships support learners and employers across housing, construction and the wider workforce.

What we will be sharing this week
Monday – Skills for Life
Today’s focus explores how apprenticeships help people build confidence, professional identity and transferable skills that support long term careers.
As part of the national Skills for Life theme, our Chief Services Officer, Sara Roberts, has shared a new article reflecting on how apprenticeships support skills for life and career development, with a particular focus on housing and the wider built environment.
Tuesday – Working With Great Employers
We will be shining a light on an organisation that we are proud to partner with, The Guinness Partnership – showcasing how they invest in their people and use apprenticeships to develop talent and strengthen services.
Wednesday – Recognising Apprentices
Celebrating the learners who are building skills, growing in confidence and making a real difference in their roles. We want you to celebrate your apprentices – and if you are an apprentice then share your journey!
Thursday – Opportunity Thursday
We will be focusing on the programmes, progression, pathways and the opportunities apprenticeships create for development, specialisation and leadership.
Friday – Celebrating Achievements
Friday is all about recognising milestones, progress and successes across the week, from completed modules to qualifications and career moves.
