Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

Perfect for first-line managers and supervisors, this course covers health and safety law, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and environmental responsibilities. It builds the confidence and competence needed to lead teams safely and maintain compliance on site.

The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme is designed for first-line managers, supervisors, and those stepping into a leadership role on site. The course provides a clear and practical understanding of how to manage health and safety within your area of responsibility, giving you the confidence to lead teams safely and maintain compliance across day-to-day operations.

You will explore core supervisory duties, including health and safety law, risk assessments, method statements, effective toolbox talks, and environmental responsibilities. Through practical examples and real site scenarios, the course helps you understand what good supervision looks like and how to embed safe working behaviours within your team.

By the end of the programme, you will be equipped to monitor work effectively, identify and control hazards, and communicate expectations clearly. Successful completion leads to an accredited SSSTS certificate, demonstrating your competence in supervising site activities safely.

As with all our CITB and industry safety training, the SSSTS course can be delivered at our fully equipped centres in Scotland or England, or delivered on site for employers who want to train groups at their own premises. This flexible approach ensures you can learn in the environment that best supports your role and responsibilities.
