The SMSTS Refresher course is designed for those who already hold an SMSTS certificate and want to keep their knowledge up to date. This programme provides a focused update on current legislation, industry guidance, and recognised best practice in managing health and safety on site.

You will revisit core principles of risk management, leadership responsibilities, and safe systems of work, while exploring recent changes in regulation and emerging industry expectations. The course helps you maintain a clear, confident approach to compliance and ensures you continue to meet the standards required for safe, effective site management.

On completion, your SMSTS certification will be renewed for a further five years, demonstrating your ongoing commitment to maintaining high levels of competence.

As with all of our CITB and industry safety courses, the SMSTS Refresher can be completed at our fully equipped training centres in Scotland or England, or delivered on site for employers who wish to train groups together. This flexible approach allows you to refresh your skills in an environment that works best for you and your team.
